If I’m not mistaken, Spotify first launched the whole music year-in-review trend. Wrapped provides an interesting perspective on the songs that moved you in the past year. Since then, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and countless other music services have done the same.
Now, count Grammarly among the companies using artificial intelligence to jump on this train. The company emailed me the following image earlier this week:
In a word, I’m pleased. I wouldn’t call myself a free spirit, but I’ve never considered my writing stiff. As for the curious adjective, that’s just fine by me. I often pepper my posts and books with questions. Framing a problem is essential, and no one wants to read prose from a know-it-all.
What You Need to Know
If your writing comes off as stilted, you should be working with a coach. Clunky, boring, and jargon-laden writing won’t benefit you. Rather, it will invite derision. Lots and lots of derision.
